Refugees from the North

An armed caravan of 80 refugees claiming to have fled Sirdovia arrive in a Chiid town near the Sirdovian border. They plead for help, claiming to have fled famine, military crackdowns and witchhunts for heretics. The refugees claim to have secretly escaped, ensuring that nobody yet knows that they are missing.
They are led by a man named Terril, who speaks for the party.

The Chief of the settlement agrees to talk to the refugees leader. He is accompanied by 2 armed gaurds.

The central Chiid government receives a letter claiming that a number of heretics awaiting execution escaped and are posing as refugees, using the reputedly fake news about a famine to destabilise the government. The letter requests that any refugees be escorted back to the border immediately.

The refugees will be captured and sent back to the border on one condition. Sirdovia will agree to allow negotiations for orcs to become acceptable in Sirdovia.

The Divine Church refuses the condition, as human supremacy is a primary article of the faith. The Church urges instead to have the heretics executed within the custody of Chiid. As heretics, they are outlaws, and do not have the right to the protection of the government; however they are still citizens of Sirdovia and are subject to judicial punishments handed down by the Inquisitorial Tribunal.
The Divine Church again urges to have the heretics eliminated as soon as possible.

In his meeting with the chief of the Orcish village, Terril insists that the Church is covering up a great famine within Sirdovia, and is using the military to ensure that no word of it reaches other nations. When shown the supposedly fake leaked letter from the Sirdovian Department of Agricultural Proseperity [https://realmroleplay.forumotion.com/sirdovia-f5/crop-failure-t99.htm], he insists that the statements in the letter are true.

The Chief explains that he has no authority on this decision and sents Terril and the refugees to Kragon where they will be tried.

Warlord Krag-Zot has just remembered the trouble with the refugees. He has brought them in for an audiance.

As the Refugees have refused to speak for the entire year that they have been standing in the throne room. Warlord Krag-Zot has decided to execute them.
